This research study was based on urban farming in the city of Nairobi.
The study aimed at identifying the reasons for involvement in farming activities and if
farming in the city has any contribution to food security.
It also had a gender perspective in terms of assessing which gender either men of women
is more involved in the farming activities and why.
It looked at the challenges that this farmers faced and how they could be overcome.
