dc.description.abstract | In Tanzania rivers are mainly utilized for
hydroelectric power supply, urban and rural water
supply and for irrigation. The basic data required
for assessing the potential of the rivers are long
records of rainfall and streamflow. In most developing
countries including Tanzania, there is inadequate
hydrometeorological data. Generally there are relatively
longer records of 24 hour rainfall data together
with few records from autographic stations. | en |
