dc.description.abstractNamibia is one of the few African countries which have recognized the importance of decentralized development in nation building. However, experiences have shown that the pace at which regional development plans were prepared and implemented had some shortcomings and gaps as inter-sectoral co-ordination between sectors and other development partners is ineffective. To address these and other capacity gaps, UNCRD and the Government of Namibia organized “Training of Trainers (TOT) Workshop on Sustainable Regional Development Policy and Practices in Namibia” from 25 March - 6 April 2013 in Swakopmund, Namibia. The main objective of the training workshop is to train the Namibian planners on effective and sustainable regional development policies and practices.
