dc.description.abstractSimplified linear estimation of the scale parameter of the logistic distribution based on the sum of consecutive order statistics is considered. The paper also discusses the best linear unbiased estimators (BLUEs) and asymptoti cally best linear estimators (ABLEs) based on k optimally selected order statistics from the logistic distribution.
