dc.description.abstractBeen the 21st century, Kenya as a state continues to face a lot of challenges be it political, economic, and technological or security. The study will examine security challenge Kenya faces as a result of globalization trends and the drug trafficking that affect Kenya’s National security. The most common threats Kenya faces today includes; Terrorism, Corruption as a result of drug trafficking. The study looked at the impact these threats have had in Kenya and what the government has been able to do in order to minimize the impacts of drug trafficking. The study found that Kenya’s most threats of terrorism and corruption has greatly affected the way in which Kenya’s’ government responds to a threat to its national security. The study also found that the trends of globalization around the world are increasing the incidences of drug trafficking in Kenya. The study also recommends a number of opportunities Kenya can take into consideration in dealing with drug trafficking and this includes security sector reforms, fighting corruption and ensuring fluidity between security agencies when it comes to addressing the issues of security in Kenya.en_US
