dc.description.abstractThe objective of the study was to establish the effect of portfolio flows on the growth of the capital market in Kenya. The study used descriptive research design because it sought to establish how emerging market portfolio flows is related with growth of the capital markets in Kenya. Data from CMA, CBK, KNBS, KIPPRA, Ministry of Finance, public libraries, national budget and other government records and World Integrated Trade Solution (WITS) was collected as the study’s secondary data. The collected data was sorted in Ms Excel and the analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS version 25.0). The study used quantitative analysis through descriptive statistics such as central tendency measures to generate relevant percentages, frequency counts, kurtosis and skewness and mean and standard deviation. Inferential statistics was also adopted where the study conducted regression analysis to establish the association between portfolio flows and growth of the capital market in Kenya.en_US
