dc.description.abstractIncreased incidences of crime across the country are becoming a matter of grave concern. Of even greater concern, however, is the growing number of youths who are taking to crime. The study aimed at finding out socio-economic factors that contribute to criminal behavior among the youth; to establish whether family socialization practices have an influence on criminal behavior among the youth; to investigate the influence of peer groups on criminal behavior among the youth and to find out whether the media has an influence on criminal behavior among the youth.
