Rhetorical Images in the Classical Poem of Amr Bin Kulthum.

Abstract

This research examines the rhetorical images in the classical poem of Amr bin kulthoum that is full of pride and enthusiasms as well as the life history of Amr the famous poet during the pre- Islamic period and the factors that influenced his poetry. The research also will study the concept of poetic image and its functions in the performance of meaning. The researcher will provide some verses from the studied poem which contains various imagery styles, of which the most important of it are: similes, metaphors and metonymy, then after providing them will analyze and apply the rules of imagery styles on them.
