This research project attempts to give a critique of the peace building process in Kibera following the early 2008 post-election violent conflict. In particular, the researcher assesses Care-International's peace building project in Kibera between 2008 and 2010, with the ultimate objective of recommending better and more suitable ways of engaging international NGOs in the on-going peace building process in Kenya. This is a relevant and viable study as the research findings will not only contribute to the available peace building knowledge, it wilf also offer valuable insights into the current national debate on how to address the post 2008 conflict situation in Kibera and Kenya as a whole. To carry out this study, the researcher will use both qualitative and quantitative data, which will be analyzed using Thematic Analysis and Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), respectively.
