Investigations into the use of native beer residues and brewers grains in poultry feeds
Abstract
A series of four feeding trials were conducted to asses the value of native maize beer and millet beer residues and brewers crains as supplenents in chick diets. Preliminary studies involved proximate analyses of these residues to determine the levels of such components as protein, fats, fibre, and ash present. This information was used in formulating the experimental rations based essentially en locally produced soybean cake meal and ground white maize supplimented with vitamins and minerals..........
