dc.description.abstractBackground: Sexual behavior, fertility desires and contraceptive use among HIV positive women are important aspects in reproductive health. Sexual behavior has significant impact on the spread of HIV, reinfection with other strains of HIV and STls. Most of the HIV positive women are in their reproductive age and hence have fertility desires and may need effective contraceptive. Objectives: To describe fertility intentions, contraceptive use and sexual behavior among HIV positive women attending the Kenyatta National Hospital Comprehensive Care Center. Study Site. The study was carried out at the Kenyatta National Hospital Comprehensive Care Center Nairobi. Study design and methodology: This was a hospital based cross-sectional descriptive study. HIV positive women attending the Kenyatta National Hospital Comprehensive Care Center were interviewed. Data Analysis: A precoded Questionnaire was used to obtain data on Sociodemographic characteristic, baseline obstetric characteristics, health status, Sexual activity, fertility plans and contraception. The data was analyzed using Version II of SPSS Computer Programme.en
