dc.description.abstract | This study focused on the officers (in the human resource management department)
Perceptions of the major causes of field officers indiscipline in the ministry of livestock
and fisheries development. The study is organized in five chapters.
Chapter one presents a general introduction of the study. It compnses of what other
people have commented about discipline in general as well as what the researcher has
observed prompting her to investigate further.
The literature review for the research was obtained through reading materials such as
library books, journals encyclopaedias and dictionaries among others.
The design of the study took the nature of a survey. The survey process involved both
primary and secondary methods of data. Primary methods used include questionnaires
and interviews. Secondary methods on the other hand include library books.
The findings of the study found out that the field officers discipline is unsatisfactory.
Among the most serious indiscipline that was mentioned was desertion from duty which
was as a result of being dissatisfied with their work.
From the study it was concluded that the officers in the ministry of livestock and fisheries
development headquarters need to work hand in hand with the field officers who have
been posted to various parts of the country if they are to address the problem of
indiscipline. | en |
