A theoretical and descriptive study is made of the distribution of the Nilotic Luo culture patterns, dealing with the basic hypotheses of patterns and descriptions of patterns which existed in the recent past. It is divided into four main parts: A. Theoretical approach to the study of material culture; B. A brief description of the Nilotes; C. Traditional patterns of building-constructions and their functions; D. Material products.
