What is the Charge Radius of the Neutrino? An Investigation in the Background Field Gauge
Abstract
The one loop contributions to the neutrino charge radius are calculated in the background field gauge. The large logarithm term is found to be gauge invariant while other terms prove to be highly gauge dependent. It is concluded that the neutrino charge radius has no physical meaning in the standard model.
