dc.description.abstractThe development of this programme was motivated by the need to address peace and human security challenges in the region. The programme will produce professionals at the university level who will then spearhead the training of teachers to handle the newly introduced peace education in the Kenyan school curriculum The programme curriculum was developed by the Education for Change: Developing Higher Education Programmes in Peace and Human Security in Uganda and Kenya (Pehs Project). The purpose of the project is to enhance capacity & professional expertise in the field of peace education in the East African region. The project is a collaboration of three institutions; University of Nairobi, Kenya, Makerere University, Uganda and Coventry University, UKen_US
