The cluster analysis suggest that different groups of people in East Africa place varying importance on the underlying factors influencing public perception of agricultural biotechnology. Some highlights the health and economic benefits of the technology while others are influenced by fear, distrust, and skepticism about the technology. It is essential that government institutions mount public communication messages to continuously educate the population about the nature and potential benefits of agricultural biotechnology in food security and household livelihood sustenance.
