University of Nairobi is a member of this Consortium and UoN students are encouraged to apply for scholarship mobility. We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that within the ARISE, Scholarship Scheme, there are several African Institutions that will offer a wide range of academic opportunities that should be of interest to potential PhD and Masters students seeking mobility. Administrative staff members can also get scholarship for one month. ARISE will offer a total of 86 mobility opportunities – 54 Masters scholarships, 22 PhD scholarships and 10 staff mobility scholarships. The universities in the consortium include: University of Cape Town (UCT), University of Addis Ababa (UAA), University of Ghana (UG), University of Nairobi (UoN), National University of Rwanda (NUR), Makerere University (MU). In the project’s website www.intra-acp-arise.org you will find important information regarding the application process, available scholarships and mandatory documents. Potential candidates interested in this new scholarship mobility are therefore advised to carefully read all the available information, namely the applicant’s guide and prepare the necessary documents and information as soon as possible so as to submit a successful application online. I encourage potential candidates to apply for various opportunities in the various universities.
