An epizootic of canine aflatoxicosis in Kenya.
Abstract
The principal findings in an outbreak of canine aflatoxicosis were severe liver damage and gastro-intestinal haemorrhage. Aflatoxin levels of 1000-3000 mu g/kg were found in commercially prepared dog food, and aflatoxin B1 was detected in the liver and kidneys of many affected animals.
