A PC Based Screen Text Editor

Abstract

This project is an attempt to design and build a small, portable, PC based screen text editor. The word attempt has been used considering the fact that it took so many years for computer experts to come up with the good screen text editors we see today, rare as they may be - adding weight to the fact that complex tools are required to accomplish such a task, tools that were hard to come by since even reading materials concerning this area were. very few and those found were often too sketchy to give the required deep insight for such an undertaking. However, the basic objective of the project was realized since the editor produced can do all the basic functions - like loading a file, scrolling up and down and move the cursor about - though due mostly to the afqre mentioned constraints, misses many other useful and advanced screen text editing facilities - like searching and blocking, but which could be added later.
