dc.description.abstract | The objective of this study was to determine the effect of free cash flow on investment by the insurance companies in Kenya. The study took the form of a descriptive survey of all the 62 insurance firms operating in Kenya. Secondary data was obtained from the annual financial statements of the insurance firms. The period in consideration was between 2012 and 2016. Regression and correlation analyses were used to analyze the data collected. The results were presented in tables. It was revealed that there was a positive relationship between free cash flow and investment by insurance companies in Kenya. It was also established that firms with large asset base had higher profits and liquidity than those with smaller asset base. | en_US |
