The objective of the study was to determine the influence competitive strategies on performance Chinese construction firms in Nairobi City County. The study adopted a descriptive survey targeting 34 managing directors of Chinese construction firms. Data was collected using questionnaire from the targeted respondents. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyse the collected data. The findings revealed that competitive strategies have a significant influence on performance of Chinese construction firms in Nairobi City County. The performance measures were aligned to balanced score card which measure performance on non-financial and financial perspectives. Multiple regression model used indicated that cost leadership had the most significant influence, followed by work culture, orgnisational learning, positioning and strategic alliances. The study concludes that Chinese construction firms should focus on competitive strategies whose impact is to the whole company and performance of the organization. The study recommends replication of the research to other firms in the industry including the local ones to enable generalization of the findings.
