dc.description.abstractThe main critical phase of strategic management process is translating strategic thought into strategic action. Once strategies have been formulated, they need to be implemented. Without successful implementation, a company will not obtain the results that were intended. This study focuses on challenges of strategy implementation in Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) with special reference to Industrial and Commercial Development Corporation (ICDC). The objectives of the study were to find out the challenges of strategy implementation at ICDC and the measures taken to cope with the challenges. The study is presented in five chapters through which the researcher discuses the issues. Qualitative as well as quantitative data has been analyzed. Summary tables containing frequencies and percentages have been used in presenting the finding o r the study. The research results obtained indicate that ICDC faces challenges , during strategy implementation. These challenges include poor organization structure, poor strategy and leadership style, poor communication strategy inconsistency....English
