This study sought to examine the influence of stress on health and productivity of teachers in private primary schools in Nairobi County. Primary data was collected using a survey research design. The sample size was obtained through random sampling. A sample of 384 teachers was targeted in this study. The study used the self-developed questionnaire in form of 5-points Likert’s scale. Data were analyzed using statistical packages for social sciences. Both descriptive analyses were carried out. The study found that there were a reasonable number of teachers in the private school who experienced work-related stress. The stress was mainly associated with low pay, lack of promotion, lack of involvement in decision making, and lack of proper communication. The study recommends the adoption of programmes by private primary schools to enhance the management of their staff in order to promote their wellbeing.en_US
