This study examines the determinants of violence against women in Kenya. The data used in this study comes from the Demographic and Health Surveys, (DHS). Parsimonious Logistic regression models were estimated based on this data with the three forms of violence that is Sexual, Physical and Emotional as the dependent variables and a set of demographic variables that is age, marital status, education level, occupation, religion, region, residence and wealth index as the explanatory variables. The results presented in this paper suggest that the DHS data can be used to determine the correlates of violence against womenen
