The milk industry in Kenya has significantly contributed to the national economy, household incomes and food security of the nation. However, this industry is faced with a myriad of technical, economic, institutional, processing and marketing problems. The focus of this study is the marketing challenges faced by small scale dairy farmers delivering milk to Limuru Milk Processors. The study used a descriptive survey research design. Primary data was used to collect data using semi structured questionnaires. Before processing the responses, the completed questionnaires were edited for completeness and consistency. The data was then coded to enable the responses to be grouped into various categories. Thereafter, data was analyzed using descriptive and factor analysis methods. Descriptive statistics were used to summarize the data. Factor analysis was used to summarize the variables into an easily understandable framework. The study found out that informal market, quality aspect and consumer perception and government policy and regulation influences marketing of dairy products to a great extent. The study therefore recommends that the government should barn the informal market to stabilize the milk prices in the market. It also recommends that the milk industries obtain modern plants and techniques of production and packaging to improve on quality and make products more appealing to customers. The study finally recommends that the government should offer subsidies to milk companies when importing plants and parts.en
