dc.description.abstractThe study adopted a descriptive research design in order to gather quantitative and qualitative data describing the relationship between branch network spread and financial performance of commercial banks in Kenya. The population for this study comprise of all commercial banks in Kenya, licensed and registered under the Banking Act. The study used secondary data by reviewing published financial statements from 2000 to 2010. The study found that there was a positive relationship between bank branch network and financial performance of the banks. This research expands our understanding on the implications of bank branch network to financial performance of the banks. The study will guide the banks in making informed decisions towards branch network.en
