This report gives a full analysis on strategies that are used to enhance teamwork in the school of business at the University of Nairobi. The objectives of the study are to determine the strategies used and to determine challenges encountered in enhancing teamwork. Furthermore various scholars like Adair (1986) have looked at the definition of a team which is just a group with a common aim. In this group, contributions of individuals are seen as complementary. Collaboration, working together, is the keynote of a team activity. Adair suggests that the test of a good team is whether its members can work as a team while they are a part contributing to a sequence of activities rather than to a common task, which requires their presence in one place and at one time. He also emphasizes the importance of careful selection of a team member. Avery et, al. (2002) looks at the strategies that are used by various organizations in enhancing teamwork at their work place. The benefits and challenges of teamwork are also discussed. On analysis of data, the findings indicated that teamwork is used in education institutions with use of team building, commitment and promotion of vision and mission of the team. Therefore University policies should be supportive towards teamwork due the benefits that arise and increased production that can be derived.en
