dc.description.abstractThe study set out to establish the drivers for ISO certification and the value gained after certification in the State Owned Enterprises in Kenya The researcher, found out that the main drive was to increase efficiency and productivity in all areas of operations in terms of having a systematic approach to meeting quality. 66.67% of the SOEs in with a mean score of 4.58 and standard deviation of 0.65 were driven to be ISO certified to very great extent by this factor. The need for increased efficiency resulted in facilitating trainings which earned the organizations value to a very great extent with a mean score 4.42% and standard deviation of 0.83. Customers‘ confidence on products and services improved and therefore the customers were satisfied. From the literature it‘s evident that ISO certification has credibility and supports the literature on previous studies. Therefore, ISO certification is recommended as an important strategic initiative for value to all organizations globally.en
