This dissertation is a report on storage management model providing direct data transfer between storage and client, network-attached storage devices have the potential to Improve scalability (by eliminating the server as a bottleneck) and performance. Network-attached secure disks (NASD) are drives that support independent client access to drive provided object services. To realize the full potential of the technology we should carefully consider security challenges that will be paused by such distributed network storage interactions and then provide a security model and a security implementation to provide action and data privacy. The dissertation will demonstrate through experimentation and graphical representation, of results obtained, how NASD can perform better than the classical store and forward processes.en
