dc.description.abstract | Currently most businesses rely on broadband to run networks and web applications. This means
introduction of vulnerabilities in Universal Resource Locator (URL) that are in connection. Effective
monitoring of URLs is crucial for any organization; each port has vulnerabilities associated with it. This
research project explored the use of Security as a Service (SaaS) business model to deliver security to users
through a web based technology. The project implements a web based technology software with an aim to
assist broadband users to scan for vulnerabilities in a URL based on open ports or ports in use and suggest
ways of mitigating the vulnerabilities discovered. Results from several sample websites are given,
exceptions, constraints and achievements. The project also compares the findings to related previous work
and then gives a conclusion and recommendation for further work. | en |
