This discussion attempts to explore the effects of information technology on education. Initially conceptual clarity is established for the central concepts of 'information technology' and 'education '. Each concept is assigned a meaning that will direct the discussion. Thereafter, the effects of information technology on education as conceptualized are discussed and a conclusion accordingly drawn.
