This study is a critique of youth technology centers in Kenya. It explores the dynamics of these centers with reference to the trends in transformation that these are undergoing. In particular there exist a problem of under utilization and lack proper functionality in these institutions due to the continous change in the need of the intended users(the youth) coupled with the inability of the institution to transform to accommodate new functions. The main objective of this study is therefore to try to understand the needs of the youths and hence their spatial requirement in order to develop guidelines that will act as a framework in the design that are condusive for their activitiesen
