dc.description.abstractThe Government of Kenya has drafted a bill, the National Environment Enhancement and Management Bill, which when it becomes law will institutionalise the mechanism called Environmental Impact Assessment (referred to throughout this study as EIA) as the central mechanism for the protection and management of the environment in that country. This study is a conceptual analysis of EIA as a legal mechanism for the protection and management of the environment of Kenya.
