dc.descriptionThis paper examines the impact of European goods and European demands upon the allocation of slaves in the supposed economic equilibria in the asset, factor "money" and goods markets of West Africa. It concludes that the bulk of slaves would seem to have been allocated with an awareness of the alternatives.
