dc.description.abstract | The study of infant and child mortality is important in tra levels can be used as a measure of social and economic deve of an area. This study has looked into effects of socio-economic factors namely education, marital status and place of residence child mortality by divisions of Nyeri district as of 1979 centuary 's method of mortality estimation was used to 'infant and child mortality estimates using q(2) values in The fire; have shown that socio-economic development has a great on infant and ch'ld mortality. Mothers belonging to vary economic status have been found to have different child experiences.
