Social and demographic determinants of fertility in Kisii District
Abstract
This study is an investigation into the social and demographic factors which determine fertility in Kisii district. It revolves around the hypothesis that both social and demographic factors affect negatively or positively fertility rates and levels of any given society.
The study has utilized the Kenya Demographic and Health survey data collected in 1989. The data was obtained from interview by use of structured questionnaire. A sample of 392 questionnaire were used for the present study for those administered in Kisii District that year
