The increasing dealing in foreign exchange by commercial banks over the years has lead to the importance studying the volatility associated with it. In this study, we have examined the stock market and the foreign exchange market in Kenya for evidence of volatility of stock prices caused by foreign exchange rates using augmented market models. The results from the study indicate that commercial banks in Kenya are not significantly exposed to foreign exchange rate risk.en
