dc.description.abstractCrafting and formulating a strategy represents just but the easy part, implementing it does pose tremendous challenges. Implementation of strategy implies at times changing the way things are done and may evoke sensitivities as new changes brought about by strategy implementation disrupt the statusquo. This research was thus aimed at investigating the challenges encountered whilst implementing strategies of HIVIAIDS workplace policies in the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Regional Delegation, Nairobi. Data collection instrument was an interview guide, which was administered to departmental heads responsible for strategy implementation. From a population sample of 8 managers, 6 were interviewed. Data collected was first checked for consistency, coded and then analyzed using content analysis to arrive at the various conclusions, The study concluded that : The challenges faced in the organization includes, the organizations culture, inadequate support on HIVIAIDS workplace policies from management, Stigma, lack of detailed ownership, lack of peer educators, lack of insurance and financial resources, it al-s..o highlighted the various interventions the organization has adopted in dealing with challenges facing HIV/AIDS workplace policy implementation.en
