The main critical phase of strategic management process is translating strategic thought into organizationalaction. Once strategies have been formulated they need to be implemented. Strategy implementationis concerned with both planning how the choices of strategies will be put into effect and managing the changes required in the process. This process is fraught with complexity and challengesand many organizations create great plans for the future but fail to implement the desired change. Without successful implementation, an organization will not obtain the results that it intended. The study focuses on strategy implementation in the MOEST with special reference to the FPE strategy's implementation in Kieni West Division which is in Nyeri District .The main objective of this studywas to fmd out the extent of the capability gap following the implementation of FPE and the challengesencountered in the implementation process. This study is presented in 5 chapters and sections through which the researcher has discussed the aboveissues. Quantitative method of data analysis has been used to analyze the data. Summary tables containingmean scores, frequencies and percentages have extensively been used to present the data. -. The research results obtained indicate that following the implementation of the FPE strategy, the capabilitygap of teachers and toilets for pupils has increased; the capability gap of teachers' toilets and textbooks has reduced whereas the capability gap for desks has neither reduced nor increased. It's also evident that lack of enough resources, parent's interference, shortage of teachers and lack of enough physical facilities form the greatest challenges to the implementation of FPE strategy.en
