Investigations in the field of defluoridation of water supplies have been carried out over a long time. However there is no method that has proved universally applicable. This research sets out to investigate methods that may be suitable to Kenya. A method of defluoridation of water was developed in 1975, in India, and has been popularly referred to as Nalgonda Method. This method was applied in this research and experiments were carried out on batch scale and in a continuous flow pilot plant system.en
