Biased estimation using ridge regression techniques

Abstract

In this dissertation emphasis is placed on the practicability of a non-iterative procedure for generalized ridge regression as given by Hemmerle (1975) and its application on third order rotatable designs. In chapter I, we outline basic concepts on the theory of regression analysis and give an introduction on the principles of biased estimation and ridge regression techniques. A statement of the problem of study is then given at the end of the chapter.
