dc.description.abstractIn this study of the life and activities of Muganda Okwako, an ex-colonial chief of North Ugenya location of Siaya District In Nyanza, an attempt is made to examine the colonial experience of the people of North Ugenya. The study is divided Into four chapters with an Introduction and a conclusion. Chapter one gives an account of the background history of the people of orth Ugenya, before the colonial era and ends with an examination of the colonization of North Ugenya. It Is argued here that the people of North Ugenya resisted colonialism.en
