have access to
The research was carried out in Kipkaren Division , in Nandi
district, Kenya. A sample of 60 women were interviewed about.
their access to land and their tenure security and their agricultural production
The research was interested in the following :issues: t:he area of
Land owned/or operated by women farmers of different marital
status : patterns of land acquisition and type of Land tenure
security production of food and cash crops by area and y i pi d
for. different categories of women; whether the .la rid has been
registered and if so, in whose name; other constraining factors
such as labour , credit, extension services, level of education,
aqe and decision making power
