Politics, physical education and sport are terms which have "gIobal" presence, their meanings, however, bound in cuIture , may have "village" interpretation. The temporal etc. constraints imposed upon this paper render it impossible to dwell on the respective semantics of these terms. Hence, generic definitions of each are employed in order to facilitate examination o f a range of physical education/sport political relationships and to provide the necessary common basis for comparison.en
