Gazellostrongylus (Paracooperia) lerouxi, the cause of large nodules in the abomasum of gazelles in Kenya
Abstract
Two natural infections of Gazellostrongylus (Paracooperia) lerouxi in Gazella thomsoni in Kenya are described. The parasite was the cause of death in one case and the carcass was anaemic and emaciated and had multiple haemorrhagic worm nodules throughout the wall of the abomasum. Some nodules showed ulceration, caseous and purulent necrosis and gangrene. Protostrongylus was the cause of death in the other gazelle. C.W.G.
