Medicinal plants of East Africa
Abstract
This book is the result of ten years of research work in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda by the author. Its aims are to supplement the already published book entitled Poisonous Plants of East Africa and to try to answer the many puzzling questions about the traditional use of medicinally active herbs. The book has also a unique presentation of a simply classified list of diseases for which the herbal drugs are used. The work should serve as an important and basic reference material for futher research into the basic biological as well as the applied medicinal aspects of traditionally used medicinal plants of East Africa.
