dc.description.abstractFrom the seed pods of Millettia dura a new isoflavone has been isolated and identified as 3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-6-methoxy-8,8-dimethyl-4H,8H-benzo[1,2-b:3,4-b‘]dipyran-4-one (trivial name 6-methoxycalopogonium isoflavone A). In addition, three known isoflavones (formononetin, ferrugone, jamaicin) and two rotenoids (millettone, tephrosin) were identified. All structures were determined on the basis of spectroscopic evidence.en
