Factors that influence the process of learning and students' attitudes towards them were analyzed and a model developed to tie these factors together. These factors are interrelated and they influence the process in different ways. We describe a model that uses mathematical notation to concisely express the relationships. The model is intended to help content developers, e-learning modelers and Instructors to evaluate and validate an e-learning strategy or entity accurately. The model was developed from studies involving two groups of undergraduate and diploma students who used a fully-fledged e-learning platform called Wedusoft, for a semester. Statistics such as frequency of login, durations of continuous use, number of emails sent, and correspondence on the bulletin board were collected. Variables were isolated, interdependencies noted and relationships established that finally helped to develop the model.
