dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate and provide an understanding of the Supply chain operational challenges faced by the credit card division of commercial banks in Kenya. Further the study seeks to establish the relationship between supply chain management and the performance of the credit division of commercial banks in Kenya. This study employed the use of a structured questionnaire to measure the number of variables related to the supply chain management relevant to the objectives. In the study, several statistical analyses were performed on the study data. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the distribution of categorical and numerical responses to generate frequencies, percentages, means and standard deviations. The study findings revealed that the major Supply chain operational challenge experienced by the credit card division of Commercial banks in Kenya was high costs. Mass customization was not a key challenge as most of the credit card divisions had embraced varied prices for different credit cards. It was evident that most of the respondents had not been adequately trained on Supply Chain Management. The relationship between the credit card division of commercial banks in Kenya and their customers and suppliers was not effectively and efficiently managed. It was recommended that staff should be trained on supply chain management and the relationship between the credit card division of commercial banks in Kenya with their supplier and customers improved.en_US
