dc.description.abstract | The objectives of this study was to establish the strategic responses that the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) adopted in the face of changing global economic environment and to determine the challenges faced in the change management process.
The research sought to establish the relationship between change management strategies and international economic environment focusing on the non-profit making sector. This study used primary and secondary data that was collected from the respondents via interviews. The study looked into how management of the organization viewed some of the strategies adopted in areas of technology, finance, human resource and organizational structure this was collected via the interview process with the question administered to staff in mid level management within the organization.
The study found that there is indeed a relationship between the need for strategic responses and turbulent external economic environment. While it isn't the mandate of this study to gauge whether the strategies adopted are successful or not, it is the identification of the responses identified and implemented by UNEP for the successful business process. | en_US |
